To the best dad

A Burley Christmas

We spent Christmas in Burley with the McMillan side. My Mom and Dad hosted the crazy bunch. Both of my brothers came with their families, one from Texas and the other from Colorado. My sister and her family came from Utah too. We missed my older sister and her kids.

On Christmas Eve we ate yummy dinner and had a chocolate fountain to dip an assortment of sweet things (my kids went a little crazy).

Grandma and Grandpa gave a spiritual thought about gifts.

Kristin, Jonas(look at his cute cheeks!), Elliot, and sweetie Lia

Abby, Gracie girl, and Jared

We opened our Christmas Eve jammys along with all our cousins!

Brady and Avery got to sleep out with their cousins, Jordan and Katie. It was hard to try to calm these guys down. They had just had a ton of sugar and were with their cousins, who always try to make eachother laugh, on Christmas Eve! It was quite the losing battle.....but a fun one!

Christmas Morning was so exciting! We were busy checking out gifts, dumping out stockings and opening gifts for hours. Lots of love.

Our brand new cousin, Sam. It was so fun to see him still in the newborn stage. He is SOOO adorable. I loved his Christmas jammys on him.

Ruby woke up a couple hours late, so we had our own opening session. Her big gift was some needed sleep! :)

A few days later we went bowling with both my brother's families. Adults on one side and kids with the bumpers on a the other. Buy the end I think the adults were wishing for the bumpers and the little slide (my arm was hurting! OUCH!). We had fun.

Lia getting some help from her Mommy (Elliot doing a victory dance in the background).

Avery had to do some kind of "finish" to her bowling. It just needed that little something....

We had a great time in Burley. I loved seeing my brother's and their families! I met two sweet little nephews Jonas and Sam. And they are SWEETIE little guys. I wish they lived closer.

We love cousins. We love Christmas. We love Grandma and Grandpa.
Thank you family for all the good times. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for doing so much.

Merry times

The Robbins' Christmas party was held in Providence/Logan where 90% of the family live (we are soon to increase that percentage!). One thing that the Robbins Christmas is all about: Traditions! I LOVE IT! When we spend Christmas Eve together there are even more but here is a list of the traditions we did at the party:

Chili dinner
Sibling Gift exchange
Grandparent/Parent gift game
White Elephant (it is just called that but really the million of presents (no kidding) to pick from are all good ones!)
Pinata

Ruby loved one of her white elephant gifts SOO squeezy much!

Crew got to hit something! How did Grandma and Grandpa know that was on his list? :)

Three words: COUSINS, COUSINS, COUSINS!!!!

And MORE cousins! My kids just adore their sweet cousins.

After the party Grandma had a sleepover with all the cousins (under 12) and gave them all a blanket, flashlight and a mini American Girl doll or a Transformer. They watched a Christmas movie and then she read them Christmas stories until they fell asleep........
It was so perfect. We had a wonderful time sharing these traditions with family.

I'm three

Crew turned three. I can't believe he is so big!

We woke up on his birthday and served him breakfast in bed and he said "For ME? For ME, mom? For ME?". Then once again when we opened his presents "For ME?" I kept telling him "Yes honey, it's your birthday!" and then he would say "Oh wow!". I can't tell you how my heart melted all morning. He is so sweet.

He had a "ka-chow" (Lightning McQueen) birthday by request. His cake was so cute and yummy but he only ate the frosting off it (as usual). He kept telling everyone else "Happy Birthday!" all day long too. It was hilarious. He is such a character, we love him to pieces.

A Super Halloween!

Dash
Jessie
Woody
Flutterbye
This was us going to our ward Halloween party a week before Halloween. Spence was the devil for like the fourth year in a row. He told me this year he is ready for a new go-to costume. He said "The devil has been played, Jenny, it's done." Okay, we'll see what is on clearance tomorrow to see what his new go-to costume is going to be! :)

Brady and his poses.....he was Mr. Incredible for the ward party and at school but then his football pads made his costume really tight so he decided to be Dash for trick-or-treating, which worked out well since he was SO super fast at each house (I lost him twice). Woody and I could not keep up! Jessie kind of kept up but she is one fast cowgirl!

Ave wanted to be Jessie this year which was a surprise! She is so into being anything "fancy" that Jessie was a nice change (even though she does has sequins on her shoulders!:)). And Crew was going to be Lightning McQueen but when we saw this Woody costume next to Jessie we HAD to get it with the riding horse! He was hilarious in it. I loved going trick-or-treating with Crew (besides the fact he was the only one that stayed with me - the riding horse really slowed him down) because he really "got it" this year. At every door he was so surprised that EVERYONE gave him candy! He would come back down the stairs and pull out the newly acquired candy and say "Look MOM!". He was a crack up!

I love Halloween because I love the beginning of the holiday season. The Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas Season is the best time of the year. I hope you have a fabulous season!
