I'm three

Crew turned three. I can't believe he is so big!

We woke up on his birthday and served him breakfast in bed and he said "For ME? For ME, mom? For ME?". Then once again when we opened his presents "For ME?" I kept telling him "Yes honey, it's your birthday!" and then he would say "Oh wow!". I can't tell you how my heart melted all morning. He is so sweet.

He had a "ka-chow" (Lightning McQueen) birthday by request. His cake was so cute and yummy but he only ate the frosting off it (as usual). He kept telling everyone else "Happy Birthday!" all day long too. It was hilarious. He is such a character, we love him to pieces.

This was us going to our ward Halloween party a week before Halloween. Spence was the devil for like the fourth year in a row. He told me this year he is ready for a new go-to costume. He said "The devil has been played, Jenny, it's done." Okay, we'll see what is on clearance tomorrow to see what his new go-to costume is going to be! :)

Brady and his poses.....he was Mr. Incredible for the ward party and at school but then his football pads made his costume really tight so he decided to be Dash for trick-or-treating, which worked out well since he was SO super fast at each house (I lost him twice). Woody and I could not keep up! Jessie kind of kept up but she is one fast cowgirl!

Ave wanted to be Jessie this year which was a surprise! She is so into being anything "fancy" that Jessie was a nice change (even though she does has sequins on her shoulders!:)). And Crew was going to be Lightning McQueen but when we saw this Woody costume next to Jessie we HAD to get it with the riding horse! He was hilarious in it. I loved going trick-or-treating with Crew (besides the fact he was the only one that stayed with me - the riding horse really slowed him down) because he really "got it" this year. At every door he was so surprised that EVERYONE gave him candy! He would come back down the stairs and pull out the newly acquired candy and say "Look MOM!". He was a crack up!

I love Halloween because I love the beginning of the holiday season. The Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas Season is the best time of the year. I hope you have a fabulous season!

Fanciest Birthday!

Avery had a Fancy Nancy bday party with 13 of her fanciest friends. All the kids were so cute all fancied up! The kids went "shopping" for fancy things with Brady and Mav at the register. We had so much fun!
Then at night we had pizza and cake with family. She had a very fancyful day!:)

This was a few weeks ago. She is such happy girl. We can't get enough!

FHE adventure

For Family Home Evening we have gone four wheeling a couple times out past Eagle Mountain to a place called Six Mile Pass (I think?). Each time we go it has been about the same time of night and we see two things: the gorgeous sunset and a Blackhawk helicopter! The sunset is expected and even welcomed. The Blackhawk scares me to death!

They do training exercises in our four wheeling spot, so lots of dipping down and landing (about a half mile away!). It just reminds me of movies where the helicopter starts to spray bullets at the enemy. It has HUGE guns on each side and we would be perfect target practice most of the time. It is crazy loud yet Spence and the kids love it! I have yet to get a picture of the Blackhawk because we mostly just freeze and stare at it the intire time it is around.

Spencer went out with a couple guys to ride motorcycles in the same place and the Blackhawk chased them down, then would hide from them and pop up behind a hill and fly along with them while they rode. Spencer assures me that what we have experienced when we have gone as a family is quite calm compared to feeling like the "enemy" when he went with his friends!

Who would have thought Family Home Evening would turn into this!

She said it so randomly and out of the blue. I love her process from thought to expression. How else can you say you love Jesus? There you go.

Father's Day Weekend

A devoted father was the second thing on my list of qualities I wanted in a man. Three years of marriage when Brady came along I found out Spence exceeded all my wishes. He is the BEST (my kids will back me up on this). How did I get so lucky?

For Father's day weekend Spence chose to go to our cabin ALONE. Weird for us, we love going with family and friends but it was nice to have just our family. On Friday Brady said "I'm glad I'm part of this family." We were having so much fun! I second the motion. I am too. While we were there we found a new beach that we fell in love with.......

Milestones and Silliness

Spence's dad had his 70th Birthday party at The Roof. His Mom and sister, Natalie, did all the decorations and details. It was a perfect evening to celebrate a wonderful man. We enjoyed a night of great memories, food, and company. I love the view from The Roof! It is on the top floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial building, so the SLC temple is right outside. I loved the sunset view....

The bottom picture is us at Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls, Idaho. We were visiting my parents and took some pictures. This was my favorite. We really do have that much fun together.

Can you say........

Crew decided long ago how to say a few words. And even though he can now sound out most words and speak very clear, he is going to stick to the original way he pronounced these words. I laugh out loud every time he says a few words and had to share. One word(you'll see) doesn't even remotely sound like the real word. I admire his determination.

Little Miss. Sunshine

Our sweet Ruby was being so fun when I was taking her picture! She was cracking me up. She makes little noises that sound almost like a cat, it is so funny. I love how she is a smile-on-demand baby. If someone is in her face, she knows it is a smile that they want and she delivers! We love love love her.

This was B's spotlight poster we made for his class. It was the week of his birthday, so Ave and I came with donuts and read the class his favorite book. He was so excited to have us there. I loved seeing his interaction with everyone. He is a social guy, silly and such a sweetie. I am lucky to be his mom....

Motorcycle ride (oh and a haircut too!)

Crew's first hair cut! Who can say paradise? Crew got his first hair cut at Cookie Cutters on a motorcycle, watching Mickey (his fav), and eating a sucker! It was magical.

We had a fantastic Christmas surrounded by family. Thank you to everyone who made our Christmas so memorable and meaningful. Traditions are strong in the Robbins family and we always have a great time. Hope you all had a wonderful season. Now on to 2009!
